Стоимость организации после того, как ее обязательства вычтены из стоимости ее активов. Термин “чистая стоимость компании” часто воспринимается как синоним термина “стоимость чистых активов” (net assets), т.е. балансовая стоимость совокупных активов за вычетом текущих обязательств, однако последний показатель неточно отражает чистую стоимость, поскольку балансовые показатели редко показывают действительную стоимость актива. Чтобы получить действительную чистую стоимость, обычно требуется оценить действительные рыночные цены активов, а не учитывать их балансовые стоимости (book values). Потребуется и оценка стоимости гудвил (goodwll) компании, которая, возможно, никак не отражена в бухгалтерских книгах.
